[Groop] US Mail-An Institutional Grooism

Hi Folks!

Well, it's been a little quiet and the cards haven't arrived yet, but I
thought I'd pass on a little Grooism involving the United States Postal
Service.  

I mailed some of the T-Shirts out to folks who hadn't ordered cards.  I
mailed them on the same day, at the same time, to Germany, New York, and
Indiana.  The shirt sent to Germany , which is 4,900 miles from Seattle
(an hour north of me) took 5 days to get there.  The shirt sent to New
York, 2400 miles away, took 8 days to get there.  Finally, the shirt
sent to Indiana, 1900 miles away, took 9 days to get there.   

I I had mailed across town, it would probably get there sometime next
month.  So now we know where  Groo has been the last 5 years.  He's been
running the Post Office.
