[Groop] Groo TPB on eBay & a Question

Hi Folks!
I guess I wasn't surprised at the price of the Groo Garden. As the last
of the Marvel TPBs, it's always been hard to find. But I am surprised
at the others because they show up on ebay with some regularity. For a
while I tried to collect two of each so I could look at the whole
wrap-around drawing at the same time, but I only ended up with about
half of them before I started feeling cheap and stopped myself.
Speaking of being cheap (and also being very Groo-ish) last year I let
myself get "bumped" by the airline so I could get a free ticket,
intending to use it for this year's trip to the Con. Well, it turns out
the !#$%^&'s won't give me a free ticket to San Diego and the closest I
can get is Ontario. So my question to you Southern California Groopies
is what is the best way to get from Ontario to San Diego on a Wednesday
starting in the late morning? Or I should say IS there a way to get
from Ontario to San Diego?
I know it's dumb, but I don't want to waste the ticket and at least it
gets me close to San Diego. If I were Tone, I'd rent a bicycle. If it
were a little closer and there was such a thing as a one-way bicycle
rental, I might consider it...
Take care all
Gary G.

I don't think this is any little blip. These items are not easy to find
and when they become available people are willing to pay good money to
fill the holes in their collections. Check the prices on amazon.com for
these same items and you will find very similar prices. Scoop these
items up while you can. Once the reprints become available I believe the
prices will go even higher.

>>Groo Bazaar $102, $50 for some of the others... Is this just a blip
or they are serious? Are any of you buying these? I'm all for free trade
but I think this a bit insane. Even for Groo!

If you don't already have them... and aren't concerned re: "first
edition" staus, wait for the Dark Horse reprints... which are supposed
to be out "soon"....
