[Groop] A Grooism waiting to happen!

I just got vanity plates (custom license plates) for my car. As with everything else in my life, they come with a story!
Back in 1995 I got my first vanity plates, simply saying GROO. This was widely seen as a bad move.
Within about a month of tagging my car with the GROO license plates, the engine simply melted down into slag (overheated on a 2 hour drive, melted the engine block. BAD!) Yup, Groo "sank" my car.
So, I turned in the GROO plates and, living in the city, decided I didn't need a car anyway.
When I moved a couple of years later, I decided against the GROO plates, and didn't do anything special. Every once in a while, I'd consider getting special plates made up, but never took the plunge.
Grooisms are anecdotes of Groo-like woe, screw-ups, mishaps, and all around bad luck that are printed in the back of the Groo comic books, and I've had enough printed, there and in the online web group, that I was dubbed MISTER Grooism.
My first printed Grooism was actually the tale of my car self-destructing, pretty much as told above.
It's funny, my "new" used car is a 1995 Mercury Cougar, I didn't realize the significance of the year until, while registering it for the first time, I inquired about vanity plates.
"I used to have plates that said just GROO, do you know if they are still available?"
"Unlikely, here let me check... mmmmmm, nope, they are taken - oh wait, it's you! They've been held in your name since 1995! We normally only hold them 2 years!"
Karma? Good karma, bad karma? Who knows!?
Either way, the Groomobile lives again!
