I cant get to the con yet again
. but broke my big toe on Monday anyway.

 

TIP of the week...   don’t drop large 8’ x 4’  pieces of ¾” marine plywood
from a height onto your feet when you decided not to wear your safety boots
because they were still wet from the day before.

 

<sigh>

 

Not as painful as a broken shoulder though..

 

Ow! in sympathy.

Hi Folks!

 

Thank you all so much for your good wishes.  We went to the orthopedist
today and the good news is The Long Suffering Mrs. G. will not need surgery!
Yay!  

 

(Not sure this will interest anyone except Dr. Bubble, but apparently they
don't do surgery on shoulders unless there is at least one centimeter of
separation between the pieces of the bone.  The top of Becky's arm bone has
four breaks, but the pieces all stayed close together.)  

 

So she will be in a sling for three weeks (they don't cast shoulders) and
then they will do some more X-rays and go from there.  Right now she is
resting comfotably (thanks to rotating percaset and ibuprophen).  

 

I already let Sergio know I won't be there and of course I will miss seing
him and Scott Shaw! and his family and Stan and his family and Mark and
Carolyn and Eric and Steve and George and other who will be there, So send
some really good Con reports!!!!

 

Take care all (and be especially careful in the kitchen!)
