Hey Tone!
Well, there is really not much to say about the IG card sheet (or perhaps
the term "mini-sheet" would be more accurate) than what you already know.
But sense this is a message primarily to you, my wordsome friend, I will
write something unecessarily verbose. (insert smiley here)
Sergio was selling them at the first or second San Diego con I went to,
which would have been 1998 or 1999. I thought Eric bought one, but I guess
I'm wrong. I have #12 of 25.
Stan Sakai mentioned on the Fear Groo Forum that he has two of them. But my
guess is that they are not 2 of the 25. I assume he got a couple because
he, of course, is one of the contributing artists. If I am correct, the
other artists received at least a couple as well, so there could be a few
more than 25 floating around.
Also, Mike Slaubaugh once accurately pointed out that other than a little
border work, there is no Sergio art on the IG cards. So IG cards, and the
IG card mini-sheet, are not "Sergio items" and in some respects not real
"Groo items." Although this is technically correct, I count them as
official Groo Merchandise and part of my Unofficial Official Groo List
because they are Groo card inserts. That seems to me to make more sense then
to relegate them to mere "Groo by Others" status. (Which would mean they
would not be "Groo List" items.)
Let's see, what else? Oh, they are an odd size becauyse of the extra length
needed above the cards themselves so it is difficult to store.
OK, I really can't think of anything else to say about the IG card sheets.
Take care all,
Gary G.
