What most people do not know about media mail is that it does not have to move from the post office the same day it is received! this means it can sit for awhile before it is on its way. Then it can take up to 2 weeks to get delivered! Yes it is cheap, but you get what you pay for. Also insurance # does not always help with tracking. You might get back your money (seldom shipping cost back) but you miss out on a limited book.I know this from experience.  Not only was my dad a Mail person, but my family owned a store like the UPS store. Sometimes UPS or FedEx Ground is cheaper than the Post Office and you get a tracking # and $100 insurance for free.
