I plan to be there-- as art show staff again. If it makes you feel any better, most of us general/volunteer type staff members have no idea what's going on, either. 


Not even sure if we were supposed to sign up for volunteer registration-- we did have to sign up for member IDs, along with everybody who wanted to buy tickets. And we all seem to have gotten the email re: volunteer registration-- but (at least previously) "staff", though unpaid, are not "volunteers" by the PTBs' definition of the term. I guess the main diff, is that "staff" are assigned to one dept before the con starts and work a min of 12 hrs for the 4 days, whereas "volunteers" are assigned in the morning of each day they're there, and work for 3 hrs/day... which can total 12 hrs, but doesn't have to if they won't be there all 4 days.
