That really bites! So, the only way now to get into preview night now is to go to ComicCon the year prior? Not a good way to attract first-time attenders (read: new comic readers and buyers).

I must say, I really enjoyed the couple of times Elie and I went to ComicCon, but the more we hear about the more recent years (our last foray was 2007), the less it sounds like somewhere we want to go back to. From reports we've heard, if you want to get into one of the big event panels, you pretty much have to dedicate half a day to camping out in line or in the room, and even then, you may not get in, all the while having missed other things you want. 

I don't expect the con to change for us, but I think we may be growing apart in our interests. We're thinking about trying out DragonCon as our replacement Big Con Event.
