[Groop] Fwd: Groo Sale!

Hey, I don't know how this happens, but it always seems to happen on certain forums/lists.  This post has transmorphed into a discussion about the ethics of piracy when really it was just Eli letting the Groop know the comics that are available digitally were on sale this weekend :)

I see this sort of thing on other forums when the comics are not readily available legally.  Interestingly enough, I almost never see this discussion anymore on forums discussing new DC or Marvel comics forums where all their main new comics are available through Comixology.  It used to be as discussed as it is here, but once the publishers/creators released their catalog digitally, the morality of it became very black & white.

Just found it interesting that this didn't begin as a discussion about digital piracy but that's what it became.  And it almost always does on this list whenever digital comics are brought up.  Don't misunderstand, I LIKE this discussion, and I think it needs to happen in more places with the kind of maturity and civil-headedness that it is happening on this list (there's something I bet you never thought you'd see anyone say on a Groo list).
